Innovative Value Sharing through Digital Matching
By digitally matching specific electricity generators’ output to specific customers’ consumption for each half hour, Sitigrid’s technology platform and contractual solution can unlock significant value which can be shared amongst those generators and customers, the electricity supplier and Sitigrid.
Flexible Partnerships Across Sectors
Sitigrid can work with businesses, Local Authorities, renewable generators and large customers, as well as electricity suppliers. For example, Sitigrid could match a business’ generation facilities with the consumption at its other sites, or with a Local Authority to match its own generation to its consumption (whether that’s social housing or civic buildings).
Supporting Sustainable Energy and Social Goals
Depending on how the value is shared, Sitigrid is supporting further investment in generation (including from low carbon sources) whilst creating customers supportive of such generation who can share in the benefits, both of which fulfil government aims and together contribute to achieving Net Zero objectives. Alternatively, specific customer types can be targeted to benefit from the value unlocked, so contributing to reduce energy prices.
Efficient Implementation Without Industry Disruption
Sitigrid’s proposition requires no changes to industry rules and processes and does not interfere with a suppliers’ billing system. It does not depend on wholesale prices continuing to be high, nor does it require investment in a network to physically link the generation and consumption sites. It can therefore be implemented swiftly and be producing additional value straight away.
Strategic Collaboration with B2B Electricity Suppliers
Sitigrid is not a licensed electricity supplier to businesses but is working with a select number of established licensed B2B electricity suppliers to enable their customers and generators to benefit from the Sitigrid scheme.
Inclusive Energy Scheme for Enhanced Matching
Engaged generators and customers will be part of an Energy Scheme. Each generator’s output will be allocated (or matched) to consumption from all of the customers in the Scheme, with any remaining consumption supplied by the licenced supplier. It is not necessary for generators and customers to be geographically close. Generators that are not in receipt of RO subsidies are preferred.
Sitigrid's Two Part Solution
The Contractual Framework of the Energy Scheme
The form of contractual arrangements is to be a multi-party agreement known as the Energy Scheme rules, to which each generator, customer and the supplier signs up.
Sitigrid has worked with a UK leading firm of energy lawyers to draft all the paperwork required, making implementation easy for the generators, customers and supplier.
The Technology Platform of the Energy Scheme
Sitigrid’s secure, cloud-based platform offers a low barrier to entry with an easy-to-use interface. Users can quickly set up energy schemes for generators and customers, with automated management of energy usage and allocation.

Real-time reports and file downloads are simple to access and integrate into existing systems. Custom reporting is also available, tailored to the specific needs of any user.
The Sitigrid Technology Platform
The Sitigrid technology digitally matches small scale green electricity generation to specific customers' consumption on a half hourly basis, which unlocks value for the generator and customer. This value is created by Sitigrid utilising current industry regulations to reduce policy costs that would otherwise be included in customer charges.
The value created is then distributed amongst the generator, customer and electricity supplier, which will encourage investment in new green generation, increase local support for building new green generation and reduce customer electricity bills.
Sitigrid’s technology integrates with electricity suppliers' current billing systems and processes to create communities of loyal and engaged customers, positioning the supplier as a disruptive force in the energy retail market
